How to join

Submit your images or animations to D5 3.0 Explorer to get a 5-day D5 Pro trial.

Already familiar with the new D5 3.0 workflow?

Submit a ≤ 90-second “End-to-End” workflow video (from modeling to final render)

Then, submit it to D5 3.0 Workflow Pioneer.

Timeline

Works are reviewed every two weeks, and selected excellent works will be announced within 7 days of review.

Trial codes will be emailed within 3 working days.

Technical Quality(50%)

Focus on rendering quality: details, textures, lighting, and overall presentation.

Coherence (25%)

How well the surrounding environment and style complement the architecture.

Creativity and Originality (25%)

Unique visual style, composition, and imaginative approach to visualization.

D5 3.0 Workflow Pioneer

Workflow Logic & Storytelling (50%)

Clear and easy-to-follow presentation of the D5 3.0 workflow, including video editing, pacing, transitions, and use of captions or annotations.

Creativity & Insight (25%)

Originality and practical value of the workflow, clearly highlighting key D5 3.0 updates such as D5 Lite, D5 Works, and AI features.

Technical Quality (25%)

Quality of rendering, including details, textures, lighting, and overall presentation.

Please note: You may use the provided SketchUp model or your own. We focus more on creative storytelling, visual harmony, and effective use of the D5 3.0 AI-powered workflow than on complex modeling.

D5 3.0 Challenges has two tracks: D5 3.0 Explorer & D5 3.0 Workflow Pioneer

Can I submit multiple entries?

Yes. You can submit multiple works. However, participation rewards for the 5-day pro trial can only be received once per user.
Note: Submitting the same work multiple times in the same category will not increase your chances of winning.

Is it possible to receive multiple awards?

Yes! Winners of D5 Awards & Challenges may be shortlisted for Artwork of the Year.
You can apply to D5 Awards and other ongoing challenges at the same time.

What is the evaluation criteria?

In general, we value strong technical quality—focusing on rendering quality, details, textures, lighting, and overall presentation—along with creativity, including a unique visual style and an imaginative approach to architectural visualization, as well as visual coherence in how the surrounding environment and overall style complement the architecture; however, evaluation criteria may vary depending on the specific challenge.

How often does D5 review submissions?

Submissions are reviewed on a rolling, bi-weekly basis.
